The Return of Aliyah | The Going Up Oil | Limited Edition

THE RETURN OF ALIYAH The Going Up Oil There are journeys that become part of your story. After years of setting our hearts toward the Land, our family is preparing to journey to Israel, to walk the ancient paths, go up to Yerushalayim, and ascend toward the House of the Great King. To mark this journey, Ancient Biblical Oils has created a blend that will exist only for this moment. The Return of Aliyah, The Going Up Oil. At its heart are two of Scripture's most treasured aromatic resins: Wildcrafted Frankincense, Boswellia carterii Wildcrafted Myrrh, Commiphora myrrha Both are 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils, carefully blended in extra virgin olive oil in a 2:1 ratio of Frankincense to Myrrh. Frankincense and myrrh carry extraordinary biblical histories. They appear throughout Scripture in contexts of worship, consecration, beauty, burial and honour. But the name of this oil tells its deeper story. The Hebrew word עֲלִיָּה (aliyah) means ascent, literally, a going up. Throughout Scripture, one does not simply travel to Yerushalayim. One goes up. “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה, to the house of the Elohim of Ya'akov...” Isaiah 2:3 And that is precisely what we are preparing to do. To go up. This is why we have called it The Going Up Oil. A KEEPSAKE OF THE JOURNEY This is not part of our permanent collection. The label was specially created for The Return of Aliyah, depicting the ascent toward Yerushalayim in the style of an old biblical engraving. We wanted the bottle itself to become a keepsake, something worth holding onto long after the final drop of oil has been used.
