Paintball Retro has the exclusive new black Flex 9's that come with matching black THIN frames. These come with a Smoke lens installed, a black THIN frame (that will also fit on a Proflex), a standard chin strap, a new woven strap, and a matching black visor. The new Flex 9’s are softer than most F8’s made in the last few years. Or 8.5? The difference between the Proflex (also called the Flex 7), Flex 8, and Flex 9 is always the ears. Everything is interchangeable as long as you use the correct ears/lower combo. Proflex ears will not fit and can not be modified to fit. Is it as soft as a Proflex? No. It isn't rock hard like 2025 Flex 8's but no Flex 8 or Flex 9 is as soft as a Proflex. The F9 does have some give and is very comfortable, and it does protect better than the Proflex.
