FLYght Club - Drift Outfitters' Fly Tying Club

Welcome to FLYght Club—a relaxed space where fly tyers can get together, tie flies, and enjoy good company. Why FLYght Club? This space was once a boxing gym, so we couldn't resist the play on words. The gloves may be gone, but the tying benches are in, and the only hooks you'll be throwing are the ones in your vise. Bring your own vise, tools, materials, and whatever project you're working on. Whether you're filling your fly box with Woolly Buggers, tying classic salmon flies, or experimenting with something new, everyone is welcome. This isn't a class, it's a place to tie, socialize, swap ideas, and share tips with fellow tyers. No formal lessons, just a friendly community that enjoys the craft. Please note that this isn't a marketplace. Feel free to show off your latest creations or favorite gear, but buying and selling should be kept outside the club so we can keep the focus on tying and spending time together. Leave the sales pitch at home, bring the thread, feathers, and good conversation instead. Proceeds from the $5 cover required to reserve your seat will be donated to conservation charities. Grab a seat, tie a few flies, and enjoy the club! Things to Know: Participants must register in advance online or in store, tickets are not available at the door No materials or tools are provided, participants are responsible for all of their own supplies On busy evenings the space can get warm, we suggest planning on dressing light! Club Rules: Chat and have fun with your fellow tyers, but no pressuring other participants to share their supplies These are social tying gatherings, not lessons, of course we encourage the sharing of tips, but don't come with the expectation of other tyers spending their personal tying time teaching you No selling/soliciting Our sessions are a safe space for all - racist, homophobic, misogynistic, trans-phobic and any other discriminatory language will not be tolerated No alcohol, cannabis, or smoking allowed Anyone arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave No participants may be under the age of 14. A parent or guardian must supervise any attendees under the age of 18 at all times. Cancellations made within 7 days of the course will not be issued a refund.
