cFluor^® V435 Anti-Human CD66c (5E10C7)

The mouse monoclonal antibody clone 5E10C7 reacts with human CD66c, also known as CEACAM6 (Carcinoembryonic Antigen-Related Cell Adhesion Molecule 6) and formerly termed Nonspecific Cross-reacting Antigen (NCA-90). CD66c is a ~90 kDa GPI-anchored member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family within the immunoglobulin superfamily. It lacks transmembrane and intracellular domains and signals indirectly through lateral interactions with membrane partners. CD66c is constitutively expressed on neutrophils, monocytes, and columnar epithelial cells of the colon, and can be induced on T cells, B cells, and CD16-negative NK cells. On neutrophils, CD66c participates in homophilic and heterophilic adhesion with other CEACAM family members including CEACAM1, CEACAM5, and CEACAM8, and engagement of CD66c promotes upregulation of CD11b/CD18 and increased neutrophil adhesion to endothelial cells. CD66c is overexpressed in a broad range of tumor types including colorectal, pancreatic, lung, and breast carcinomas, and elevated expression has been associated with poorer prognosis and disease-free survival. CD66c expression in leukemic cells has also been correlated with BCR/ABL1 rearrangement. This antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per 1 million cells in a staining volume of 100 µL. If whole blood is analyzed, then use 5 µL per 100 µL. It is recommended that users titrate the antibody to obtain the optimal result for their specific application. Please briefly centrifuge the reagent vial before use.
