The bridge has the punch and definition needed for the extended range, while the neck gives you a warmer sound for leads and cleans. Hot Rock / Bridge Humbucker / AlNiCo 8 / 13.4k The Hot Rock has plenty of output without losing definition. The AlNiCo 8 magnet keeps the low end controlled, which is especially useful across the extended range of an 8-string. Best for Rock, metal, heavy rhythm playing, low tunings and leads. What you'll hear Tight lows, strong mids and a clear attack. De La Creme / Neck Humbucker / AlNiCo 2 / 8.0k The De La Creme has a warmer, more vintage-style neck sound. It stays clear for chords and clean playing, while keeping lead tones smooth. Best for Clean playing, melodic leads, warm solos and rhythm work. What you'll hear Warm lows, open mids and smooth highs. Why it works: the Hot Rock keeps the extended low end controlled, while the De La Creme gives you a warmer and smoother neck sound. GTR Hype | Blue Bon Bon. 8-string only with a 25.5" to 28.2" multiscale, Alder body, Ebony fretboard, chrome hardware and Hot Rock / De La Creme pickups.
