Kavalan Solist Port Cask draws its colour and body from Port, a Portuguese fortified wine. Port barriques are then used to age Whisky in subtropical climate and deliver big fruity buzz. The distiller, King Car Distillery from Taiwan, is a living proof that Taiwanese Whisky is becoming more than a force to reckon with. Give it a year or two and maybe it is going to surpass the mythical status of Pappy Van Winkle.
