Class: Crocheted Bags

Learn how to crochet a purse in the round with single crochet. Pre-requisites: You must be comfortable with beginner crochet basics such as chain stitch and single crochet stitch. Skill level: Beginner friendly This is a two session class. Please make sure you are able to attend BOTH classes. In the first session you learn how to create the base of the purse, then make your way up in the round. Construction of the purse is explained in great detail. In the second session we attach the purse frame and make a strap. Making strap is optional. Attaching the purse frame needs meticulous counting and setting up markers properly so that everything looks balanced. Bonus: When you come to second session we will show you how to make a mini purse! We will work with two strand of T-shirt yarn held together and a big hook 12mm. This cute purse is surprisingly fun, easy and fast to make. A great instant gratification project which you can make many to keep or gift to family and friends. Materials and tools: 2 balls of Circulo T-shirt yarn ($15 each) 12mm crochet hook ($15) 4 locking stitch markers ($8/set) Aluminum purse frame ($8) Optional: hardware o-rings and lobster claw claps for bag strap All materials and tools can be purchased at the store.
