Organic Cotton Matelassé Throw Featherweight, rippled, and never quite the same twice. This is the airy one. The weave has a soft accordion ripple that expands and contracts as you use it, which means the throw shifts and settles rather than lying flat, and no two come out identical. It was designed after the waves and breaks along the California coastline, and it reads that way: 50 by 70 inches of pliable cloth that flows out into waved edges, held in place with a tiny zigzag stitch along the fringe. Light enough to keep on the sofa in August. We carry it in three colorways: Redwood and Hazel Brown as saturated solids, and Tidal Blue as a chambray, which pairs colored yarns with undyed ones for a two-tone effect and a subtle stripe at each end. The Tidal Blue is reversible, backed with a complementary neutral on the other side, so one throw gives you two looks. The cotton is 100% organic, grown in India and woven in Portugal, and GOTS certified from field to finished cloth. How To Use Keep it over a sofa arm or the foot of a bed. The ripple shows best when it's loosely draped. Reverse the Tidal Blue when you want the neutral side out. Cold wash on a gentle cycle with like colors. Tumble dry low and remove promptly. Apply a warm iron if you like. Skip softener and dryer sheets in favor of wool dryer balls.
