Piper, John: Stowe, South of the House

This is one of a number of works John Piper completed of subjects at Stowe, it’s iconic Piper, a magnificent architectural study full of texture, colour and drama! The screenprint’s in excellent condition, it’s numbered 29 from a limited edition of 70, signed, numbered and framed . Stowe House is a grade I listed country house in Stowe, Buckinghamshire, it is the home of Stowe School, an independent school, but is regularly open to the public. The gardens (known as Stowe Landscape Gardens) along with part of the Park, passed into the ownership of The National Trust in 1989 and are open to the public. The Pebble Alcove is a delightful Grade II* listed building set in a treed area just a few steps from the bank of the Octagon Lake in the Landscape Gardens. More images can be provided on request.
