Hand-Embroidered Pouch by Bushra

A rectangular zip pouch in deep blue fabric, richly embroidered with gold thread in alternating rows of herringbone and interlaced geometric patterns. Finished with a soft gold tassel and matching cord strap, the design draws on traditional Yemeni stitches, motifs and colour palettes. This hand-embroidered pouch was made by Bushra, a mother of two who joined YENOF’s embroidery programme in 2016 to supplement her family’s income and support her children’s education. She has since developed valuable skills through her participation in several of the organisation’s embroidery initiatives. Handmade and intricately textured, this is a one-of-a-kind piece, with only one available.
