Les Génièvres is a single vineyard site in the village of Lugny, where limestone-rich soils and a warm microclimate have been producing some of the Mâconnais’s most characterful Chardonnay for generations. This is unoaked, stainless steel-fermented Burgundy — cleaner and more precise than its richer Côte d’Or cousins, but with real substance to it.Acacia and honeysuckle on the nose, white peach and a whisper of citrus. On the palate it’s round, generous and fresh — yellow orchard fruit, bright acidity, and a clean mineral finish that lingers longer than you’d expect at this price.
