Yes, we measured it properly. The Grafter is a serious handmade work table for anyone who appreciates a good bit of wood: thick, characterful, properly put together and hard enough to take a fair bit of punishment. There’s plenty of room to spread yourself out. Laptop. Tools. Sketchbook. Bad decisions. Questionable positions. Underneath, chunky square legs, a full timber apron, side stretchers and a substantial rear stretcher keep everything reassuringly rigid. No wobbling. No flimsy little legs. No going soft halfway through the job. We take wood very seriously. Natural curves positively celebrated. FANCY A FEW EXTRAS? LIVE-EDGE STRETCHER — +£145 A naturally shaped rear stretcher. Strong underneath. Curvy where it counts. Some are smooth. Some are knobbly. Occasionally one turns up looking so indecent we almost feel obliged to charge extra. THE THINKING HOLE — +£95 A generously sized hole built directly into the top. For a mug, bottle, brushes, pencils… or whatever else you enjoy slipping into holes during working hours. Useful? Yes. Necessary? Absolutely not. Much better once you’ve got one? Obviously. THE ROGUE LEG — +£175 Three straight legs. One bent one. Naturally shaped, full of knots, bumps and character. It may not be straight, but it knows exactly how to support a large top. And really, that’s what matters. WANT THE FULL PACKAGE? Live-Edge Stretcher + Thinking Hole + Rogue Leg: £315 Bought separately they’re £415, so going all the way gets you £100 off. A bent leg, a curvy bit underneath and a generous hole in the top. What more could you reasonably ask from a desk? Need yours longer, wider, thicker, darker or rougher? Just ask. And if you prefer your wood with protection, we can sort that too — oils, waxes and finishes are available depending on where and how you intend to use it. And for another £95, we’ll even give it a hole. Good ideas work better here. Bad ideas should probably order all three extras. Delivery UK delivery is included in the price. If you’re in North Wales, we’ll usually bring it to you ourselves. Further afield, we’ll arrange the best way of getting it to you safely — pallet, courier, van, or whatever makes most sense for the piece. Some of the larger and more gloriously awkward creations may need a little extra organising, particularly if you’re a long way from us, but we’ll sort that with you directly. Collection is always welcome too. At the moment, we deliver within the UK only.
