In the US, the album peaked at No. 8, and was also certified Platinum. Upon release it was seen (and still is) as one of the greatest albums of the 1980s. The classic 1989 album is cut at half speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios for enhanced audio fidelity and exceptional vinyl playback.
