We have crafted a premium leather vest that perfectly embodies our 2026 theme, "SHIBU-KAJI." Within the Shibukaji movement, we consider biker fashion to represent one of the most rugged and heavy-duty style aesthetics of the era. Looking back at the styling of that period, more than leather jackets, leather vests frequently took center stage as a core layering piece. By piecing together these vintage archives, we reconstructed this iconic look through a distinct Shibukaji lens. Because the garment deeply evokes these biker roots, we have named the model after a California locale deeply tied to touring, camping, and outdoor culture. The design draws its inspiration from a 1930s zip-up leather vest. For the material, we utilized a luxurious roughout suede that retains its full-grain backing. Leaving the grain side intact provides exceptional thickness and structural strength, resulting in a commanding presence on the body. The garment is tailored from approximately 1.5mm-thick domestic cowhide. Treated with a combination chrome and vegetable tan, this method infuses the leather with a loftier volume, firm resilience, and a beautifully three-dimensional character. The dyeing process relies entirely on drum-dyeing without any surface sprays. Allowing the dyes to penetrate the fibrous layers naturally produces a subtle, organic variance in tone that makes each individual vest entirely unique. With prolonged wear, it will evolve to show an even richer, more authentic vintage character. While it boasts rugged historical roots, it adapts effortlessly to urban environments depending on how you layer it—a definitive vest that personifies the spirit of Shibukaji in leather form.
