Print Whale - Ana Jarén

A large whale dominates the composition, its long body and curved silhouette creating a sense of slow movement through the scene. The scale of the animal gives the illustration a calm, almost dreamlike quality while keeping the whale clearly at the centre of the image. Because it brings something unexpected to the wall without losing the calm feeling that makes Ana’s quieter illustrations so easy to live with. The whale gives the print presence, while the open, marine mood keeps it light and contemplative.
