40S FRENCH TALL CABINET

ART DECO FRENCH CABINET A beautiful French display cabinet, dating to the 30s–40s. The cabinet has a slim depth and has a wonderful architectural form and warm finish. The pair of doors have multiple individual panes and stepped detailing. The bold symmetry are typical of French Art Deco design. A good slim size too. An original French railway label remains on the back of the cabinet reading ‘Chemins de Fer de l’Est’ and ‘Petite Vitesse’, which refers to the former Eastern Railway of France and the transportation of goods by rail. A lovely original detail that offers a glimpse into the piece’s previous life. There are five internal shelves inside that can be adjusted in height (I haven't photographed all in situ). Cafe curtains could also be added if you'd prefer to not show the inside. There are a few light marks, with a light scratch on the front but overall this is in good vintage condition.
