Four frozen dahlias ✿ Fine Art Print

This is a limited-edition fine art photography print featuring four frozen dahlias. A mix of light butter-yellow and white dahlias complemented by dark wine-red and pink varieties. The different types of dahlias, each with their unique petal shapes, create a harmonious interplay of lines and colours. It brings I'm using my own technique to capture flowers uniquely: I freeze the flowers in ice, then photograph the block of ice with the flowers against a light source. This helps recreate the feeling of ice (transparency) in the image. Every artwork from Felicidade is carefully crafted by hand, with no AI involvement. Frozen flowers have a painterly effect reminiscent of watercolour paintings, characterised by softness, blur and transparency. Each time I freeze the flowers, the outcome is a pleasant surprise.
