NOWU PlaX™ Pile Slippers
PlaX™ Pile Slippers (Unisex) Features Made with PlaX™, a next-generation plant-based fiber with antibacterial and odor-resistant properties. Features a mildly acidic (weakly acidic) material, similar to the natural pH of human skin. Machine washable for easy and hygienic care. A laundry net is included. The soft pile fabric feels comfortable against the skin, while its high breathability helps keep your feet cool, dry, and less prone to stuffiness. What is PlaX™? PlaX™ is a next-generation plant-based material developed by Bioworks. It is made by combining biomass-based polylactic acid (PLA), derived from plants such as sugarcane, with a specially developed plant-derived additive using Bioworks' proprietary molecular design technology. PlaX™ addresses some of the challenges that have limited the wider use of conventional PLA, including durability, heat resistance, and dyeability during fiber processing. With its improved performance and plant-derived composition, PlaX™ is attracting global attention as a new material with the potential to replace petroleum-based synthetic fibers and plastic products across a wide range of applications, contributing to environmental solutions and a more sustainable circular economy.
