Hand-spun wool, knitted and gently felted, ethically sourced feathers – One’s art practice sometimes takes dips and turns, shifts and transformations. My own practice has been a steady and continuous movement forward, guided by curiosity and an openness to discovery.I am always drawn to found objects that speak to me — objects carrying traces of history, memory and meaning — and to the possibilities they offer within my imagination and creative process.While some influences within my practice have changed over time, my fascination with the world of so-called “primitive art” and the Outsider Art movement has remained constant. The ever-present influence of Arte Povera also continues to resonate with me, particularly its embrace of humble materials, transformation and the unexpected possibilities within the everyday.
