Fantasy Garden Tarot | Second Edition

Fantasy Garden Tarot | Second Edition Enter a Fantastical World of Art, Imagination and Hidden Symbolism Step into an extraordinary garden where fantasy, architecture and the timeless symbolism of tarot come together. The Fantasy Garden Tarot, Second Edition, created by artist Dmytro Ryzhak and published by Pentagram Publishing, invites readers to explore an imaginative landscape filled with extraordinary structures, sculptures and hidden characters. First published in 2023, this distinctive independent tarot deck returns in its second edition for 2026, bringing Ryzhak's remarkable artistic vision to a new generation of tarot readers and collectors. What makes Fantasy Garden particularly fascinating is its unusual artistic technique. Every illustration has been created using ballpoint pens in just eight colours, demonstrating how a seemingly limited palette can produce an astonishing variety of tones, textures and details. The result is a beautifully intricate tarot deck that rewards careful observation and encourages you to look beyond the obvious. Why You'll Love It 80 cards in total: A complete 78-card tarot deck with two additional cards. Original ballpoint pen artwork: Every illustration is created using just eight colours. Extraordinary fantasy landscapes: Explore an imaginative world of gardens, sculptures and architectural wonders. Borderless cards: Allowing the intricate artwork to take centre stage. Printed companion guidebook: Included to accompany your readings. Rigid two-piece box: A sturdy presentation for storing and protecting your deck. Independent tarot creation: From Dmytro Ryzhak, the artist behind Bloody Tears Tarot. The Art of Looking Beyond the Obvious Fantasy Garden Tarot takes an unusual approach to tarot illustration. Rather than placing the characters at the centre of every composition, Ryzhak gives particular importance to the world surrounding them. Within each card, figures appear against expansive landscapes filled with architectural details, sculptures and unexpected features. Some characters are so small that they can almost disappear into their surroundings. This deliberate approach encourages readers to consider an important aspect of tarot interpretation: the relationship between an individual and the world they inhabit. What influence does the environment have on the story? What details might we overlook when focusing only on the central figure? Fantasy Garden invites you to slow down, explore the entire image and discover how even the smallest details can contribute to a reading. An Extraordinary Artistic Technique One of the most remarkable features of the Fantasy Garden Tarot is the medium used to create it. Dmytro Ryzhak has illustrated the deck entirely with ballpoint pens in eight colours. Through careful layering, shading and attention to detail, he creates a surprisingly rich visual world. The limited palette becomes part of the deck's distinctive character, giving the illustrations a textured, intricate quality that sets Fantasy Garden apart from more conventional tarot artwork. For collectors who appreciate unusual artistic techniques, this is a particularly fascinating deck. The Reading Experience Fantasy Garden Tarot follows the familiar structure of traditional tarot while offering a fresh perspective through its imaginative artwork. The deck features the four traditional suits of Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles, together with the familiar court cards of Page, Knight, Queen and King. Its borderless illustrations encourage intuitive exploration, allowing readers to move between the characters, landscapes and symbolic details within each scene. Whether you're reading for yourself, working with clients or simply studying the artwork, Fantasy Garden offers a richly detailed world to revisit again and again.
