I Traveled the Ocean - Crochet Pattern

Inspired by Polynesian Tapa cloth, this shawl incorporates textures and designs similar to Moana's dress. I started with a smooth cloth and transitioned into a weave pattern. I added a few flower motifs and spilled into a geometric pattern similar to open woven palm fronds. To complete the Moana theme, I added ocean waves and ended with the woven fringe of Moana's skirt. I love the marriage between land and sea. It's a lovely shawl for a cool day. To make a larger shawl, crochet two and seam them together along the long sides. This purchase only contains the digital download for the crochet pattern of the scarf/shawlette pictured. Pattern utilizes one skein of Stitch the Magic yarn.
