This is one of the pieces I'm most particular about. The frame is clamped and then hand-stitched through the wire holes. You can see the stitching along the metal. That extra step is what keeps it truly secure — it won't loosen over time. Inside, there are four layers: outer fabric, cotton batting, firm interfacing, and lining. It feels solid when you hold it. Good bounce-back. Made to be used every day. The antique brass clasp has a nice weight to it. The fabrics I select specifically for this construction — I've tried a lot that didn't make the cut.
