"Madi" The Reef Manta Ray, Limited Edition Art Print
Reef Manta Ray, Mobula alfredi, and Coral Reef Marine life art print "Madi" in Dhivehi, the language of the Maldives, means manta ray. The Maldives is home to the largest population of reef manta rays in the world. I was recently invited to the Maldives to create an art work inspired by this incredible marine environment, and for me the Maldives has manta rays at its core. This piece is vibrant in colour and marine life, a true celebration of the Indian Ocean. The original piece was drawn in archival pigment inks and finished with watercolour and gouache.
