Payne - Parabolic 7'9" 2/2 5wt Bamboo Rod

For sale here is a Payne Parabolic 7'9" 2/2 5wt bamboo rod in excellent condition. Medium tempered cane with dark snake guides and pale orange agate stripper. The chestnut and gold wraps appear original although they have received a light overcoat. The varnish has a few small areas of light bag burn but nothing that needs attention. Blued 12/64 ferrules fit perfectly, and all sections are full length and straight. Strap & ring hook keeper with nickel silver winding check, skeleton cork grip and reel seat with cap & ring hardware. The cork has been cleaned, and the reel seat bluing is worn, especially on the slide band. Weight is 3.74oz. No hangtag is present, but it is clearly a Parabolic taper. Best with a DT5, a fine example ready to fish.
