Qajar Bowl XV
Crafted by Kashan potters during the late Qajar dynasty (c. late 1800s), this collection of bowls features underglaze cobalt. While heavily inspired by Chinese export porcelain, Qajar artisans adapted the designs to include local Persian elements such as leaping fish, nightingales perched on rose bushes, waterbirds, and interlaced arabesques.
