Mid 19th C. Mahogany Nightstand

Beautiful mid 19th C. nightstand. An elegant, shapely piece in rich, dark mahogany with a single door cupboard and original brass knob. Features a curved gallery top and stands on gorgeous turned legs, joined by an X-stretcher with a lower shelf. Back in the day, this served as a pot cupboard for discreetly holding a chamber pot in the bedroom, later being repurposed as bedside table. It also makes a great plant or lamp table.
