Tone & the Life Model at Mercer Gallery, Harrogate

Join us in Harrogate for the first ever Festival of Figurative Art! A brand new festival celebrating all forms of figurative art with some of the top artists from around the UK. Leeds Drawing Club is excited to be part of this festival, running a tutored drawing session focussing on Tone. Working with a life model for One Pose throughout the session. Learning and understanding the logic of how shadow and light behave, and how to apply that to your work to create a more accurate and atmospheric drawing. Looking at examples of how other artists have used tone in their work, and exploring your own personal approach to mark making. Experimenting with different ways of applying charcoal and pencil to create atmosphere and feeling.
