Indonesia, Small Matte Blue Spacer Beads with Brown & Amber Stripes, 4-5mm Diameter on 21 inch Strands

Small 4-6mm matte finish spacer beads from Indonesia, blue with dark amber and brown stripes on 21-inch strands They can serve the same place in designs as the African Small Strands and come with sometimes lower price tags. These beads are an evolution of the Indonesian effort to replicate increasingly scarce "gooseberry beads" (clear with white stripes) from the African trade. Somebody decided that if they could make those, why not make other colors too? It's unfortunate that the name "gooseberry" is now applied to a whole line of opaque and multi-color beads that bear no resemblance to either gooseberries or real gooseberry beads. I'm also not a fan of most of the color combos being produced, but am working with some of the major exporters to try to get colors that will work better with African beads.
