Wood and Silver Mexican Cufflinks by Sigi Pineda
Wood and sterling silver form a checkerboard pattern in these stylish Mexican cufflinks by Sigi Pineda. Sigifrido Pineda (1929-2009), known as Sigi, opened his shop in 1952. Initially his shop was named Plateros, the mark used on these cufflinks, and later renamed Sigi. Prior to opening his own studio he had apprenticed at Los Castillo and was head of the enameling workshop for Margot de Taxco. He is known for his modernist designs. Scroll down for more details
