Mt. Vernon Bach 1-1/4C Cornet Mouthpiece – 26 Bore Excellent condition Mt. Vernon Bach 1-1/4C cornet mouthpiece from the collection of Boyde Hood, longtime Los Angeles Philharmonic trumpeter and respected brass pedagogue. This piece is in incredible shape for its age, with only a few minor blemishes. The bore has been opened to a 26 bore, rather than the standard 27 bore. Mt. Vernon Bach mouthpieces were produced during one of the most respected periods in Vincent Bach history. Bach moved production to Mount Vernon, New York in 1953, and the Mt. Vernon era continued into the mid-1960s before production moved to Elkhart, Indiana. Pieces from this period are highly sought after by collectors and artists for their historical significance, quality, and connection to Vincent Bach’s original workshop era.
