This year's plaid designs are a "best of" selection inspired by some of our most popular UHF color combinations from recent years. Unlike previous 9 oz. flannel fabrics, which were treated with rope and sulfur dyes to allow fading, these fabrics are woven with reactive-dyed yarns, resulting in superior colorfastness. Only four looms in Japan can produce these intricate patterns, which require changing the weft thread during the weaving process.
