BOSTON BREWING CO. 15th Anniversary Barrel-Aged Barleywine 15%ABV

When the time comes to celebrate a milestone birthday, there’s only one option: GO BIG! For our 15th anniversary we have brewed a 15% ABV Barleywine, lovingly aged in whisky casks from our friends at Nullaki Whisky. Barleywine is a strong, sweet amber ale made from egregious amounts of malts and hops, and given a long maturation to provide a honey-like sweetness and a mild carbonation. Thanks to the barrel aging, our version highlights notes of caramelised sugar, dark fruit, and a herbaceous note from the use of English hops. This is a beer that is ready to be served now, and it will also age like a fine wine, developing deeper flavours for many years to come.
