Spin 5 operate skeins then put them into your favourite jumper or cardigan pattern. Just work alternate rows to swap from one skein to another. Hand dyed on Romney, Silk & Linen Combed Top. ~500g (17.6oz) Something a little bit different. This fibre gives beautiful stitch definition, but a really unusual texture. The linen content might give this fibre the appearance of being scratchy, and it definitely isn't. Those linen fibres simply provide a lovely texture, but aren't prickly. The braids will feel slightly stiff to start off, but the more you handle linen, the more flexible and softer it becomes. Romney is a long stapled British wool of 28-29 microns. By blending it with the silk it softens the blend, and increases the shine. I can happily wear this blend around my neck as a shawl. 50% Romney 25% Tussah Silk 25% Linen This fibre is hand dyed in small batches. Each colour way is unique, and not dyed to a recipe. These fibres have been dyed to exhaust using acid dyes, and then rinsed using hot water and detergent. I recommend you hand wash your spun yarn in warm water, using a mild pH neutral detergent. The no-rinse wool washes seems to be the most prone to causing bleeding so are best avoided. Cool handwash only, will felt. For more detailed washing instructions take a look here.
