Meteor Necklace

It is real silver. The chain and setting are 925 sterling silver, rhodium plated — the finish jewellers use to keep silver looking new. The cheaper versions of this necklace use silver-coloured metal that dulls and discolours within weeks.The stone is faceted glass crystal. Eighteen flat faces, cut so light enters, moves around inside and exits. Moulded plastic and cloudy resin cannot do this — they absorb the light and look flat. This stone does not.It was sized for a person, not a camera. The original was built larger so it would read clearly on screen. This one is 12.2 mm by 13.5 mm and weighs four grams complete — small enough to sit flat, heavy enough to hang straight.The chain adjusts between 45cm and 50cm on the extender. There are 100 pieces in this edition. When they are gone, the edition is closed.
