Our Truffle Sauce begins in the truffle-rich hills of Umbria, near Pietralunga, where the forests yield some of Italy's most prized truffles. Here, we partner with Giuliano Martinelli, a master truffle hunter whose small-batch workshop grew from a lifelong passion for foraging these woods at dawn with his dogs. Made for Zia Pia with field mushrooms, black olives, and black summer truffle, this savory sauce is as versatile as it is rich. Spread it over crostini and bruschetta, fold it into omelettes, or stir it through pasta, rice, and meat dishes. That devotion to the truffle, from forest to jar, is what drew us to their work. Like everything in the Zia Pia signature collection, we chose this sauce for its exceptional ingredients, authentic sense of place, and ability to bring a little of Italy to the everyday table.
