This tea invites slow, mindful tasting. We name this gift set Gui Wei. Packaging: 2 sachets per small box, 3 boxes in total, 6 sachets at 8.5g each. What makes it so exceptional? Let us explore its terroir and craftsmanship. Local Wuyi tea farmers often say: Lu Xiu in Huiyuankeng is second to none. Lu Xiu Peak sits in the northwest of Huiyuankeng. The terrain is rugged, with jagged rock formations. Some mountain paths are barely wide enough for one foot, perched beside steep cliffs. Hundreds of metres higher than the valley floor, it rises gracefully above surrounding peaks. This unique microclimate and rocky soil nurture this cinnamon tea with remarkable depth and quiet reserve you can hardly find elsewhere. Great terroir calls for patient, masterful processing. It is slowly roasted over gentle traditional heat. Once the raw grassy notes fade, repeated re-roasting locks the fire deep into the core of the leaf. This process demands immense patience and precise judgement of roasting degree; it is elaborate and time-consuming. A rock tea’s roasting skill reveals itself plainly in the liquor. Properly roasted tea delivers steady liquor, clear aroma and pure flavour — and this Lu Xiu Cinnamon is exactly such a tea. Its aroma and taste strike a perfect balance, neither overpowering nor faint; the fragrance sinks into the tea soup instead of floating above it. The dry tea strips are dark glossy brown. Smoked cold, it carries a mature, subdued scent. When warmed, the classic cinnamon aroma unfolds, soft and gentle with a hint of warmth. Upon lifting the lid, the lingering cup fragrance is captivating. Bright cinnamon notes blend with creamy sweetness and occasional floral-fruity hints, clinging delicately and long. The aroma melts into the liquor rather than resting only on the surface. It enters the mouth smoothly and full-bodied. The scent is subtle and refined, never cloying from excessive intensity. The tea fills the palate, with the true character of cinnamon woven into every sip. A pleasant cool aftertaste rises gently in the throat after swallowing. If you wish to truly understand the charm of premium core-area Zhengyan cinnamon, this one is well worth your attention. Tongxin She Tea House. Seeking the essence of rock tea, waiting for fellow tea lovers.
