The Manfrotto ONE Tripod is a hybrid system that is optimized for both still and video usage, and incorporates the XCHANGE mounting system that allows for quick and easy swapping of heads and other accessories. Its legs are also different: they are not round, but sort of oval, to provide the stability required of both stills and video. Their XTEND leg lock mechanism enables simultaneous adjustment of all three leg extensions in a single action from the upper end of the legs. As with the 055 and 190 Pro legs, the center column can be flipped to horizontal, or the built-in ball in the spider can be used to level the head to match the horizon with the flip of a lever. The center column has a groove that keeps it from rotating when raised or lowered, and can also be removed and replaced with a short column for ground level shooting. Because of the Xchange head mounting system, we recommend purchasing the full kit with the 500X Fluid Video Head, which also uses the Xchange system.
