Compact Full-Frame Imaging Despite its compact design, the Z5 IIC delivers uncompromised full-frame performance. Its 24.5MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor works with the EXPEED 7 image processor to provide detailed stills, responsive AI-powered autofocus, and full-resolution continuous shooting at up to 30 fps. A native ISO range of 100–64000 supports shooting in a wide variety of lighting conditions, while the extended range of ISO 50–204800 provides additional flexibility in extreme situations. Compared with similarly sized cameras using smaller sensors, the full-frame sensor offers enhanced low-light performance, image quality, and depth-of-field control. Intelligent Autofocus and Subject Detection The Z5 IIC features an advanced autofocus system designed to keep moving subjects sharp and accurately tracked. Intelligent subject detection recognizes 10 different subject types, including people, animals, birds, and vehicles, along with a dedicated aquatic life mode. When using Auto-Area AF, the camera can automatically detect, focus on, and track recognized subjects as they move through the frame, making it easier to capture spontaneous moments and fast-moving action. Pre-Release Capture Powered by the EXPEED 7 processor, Pre-Release Capture helps ensure you don't miss important moments. When activated, the camera begins recording frames when the shutter button is half-pressed, capturing a burst of up to 30 fps for as long as one second before the shutter is fully released.
