Men's straight jeans, the 3320 cut The American work jean of the 1940s was indigo out of necessity. Our 3320 cut keeps its logic and its silhouette: high in the rise, straight in the leg, easy without being loose. These men's straight jeans do not follow the trends of the season; they fall over any shoe, from work boots to patinated derbies, and suit standard builds as well as slimmer ones. They are jeans you keep for ten years. Material: 100% cotton woven in Okayama, Japan, denim, twill weave, 14 oz Origin: made in Portugal in our audited workshop Detail: cold-forged copper rivets at the stress points, stamped Champ de Manœuvres Detail: herringbone pockets, 1940s jacquard cloth, discreet and technical A selvedge woven in Okayama The cloth is woven in Japan, in Okayama Prefecture, on a shuttle loom: a 14 oz selvedge denim, 100% cotton, in a 3×1 twill. Its clean selvedge shows on the outer seam of the leg. The hand is firm at first; it relaxes gradually with wear. What the indigo will tell Indigo colours the yarn at the surface and leaves its heart white. It is that tension between colour and thread that makes the patina: honeycombs behind the knees, whiskers at the hips, thighs that lighten. Every mark is the trace of a repeated gesture. The density of the 14 oz makes these contrasts deep, and the jeans will soon look like no one but the person who wears them. A repairable construction Nothing is decorative. The assembly is chain-stitched on an Union Special, which gives the bottom that characteristic wave. The copper rivets, cold-forged and stamped Champ de Manœuvres, hold the stress points. The pockets are cut from a jacquard herringbone inspired by the 1940s. The crotch is reinforced, the back pocket bottoms lined, the fly finished with a bias binding and the waistband chain-stitched. Cut and sizing Easy straight cut: take your usual size. The inseam is 80 cm (31.5 in) on all sizes, from 28 to 38. In size 32, the half waist is 43 cm and the thigh 34 cm. The 14 oz denim is unsanforised: it can shrink by 1 to 1.5 cm at the first wash. How to wear men's straight jeans With a work jacket or a raw denim jacket for a total denim look. With a henley and ankle boots. The 3320 cut also comes in black, rinsed ecru and salt and pepper. Care Wash them as rarely as possible: that is what builds the patina. Air them between wears. When needed, 30 °C (86 °F) inside out, short cycle, mild detergent with no bleaching agent, and alone the first few times, because indigo bleeds. Air dry in the shade, never in a tumble dryer.
