However one titan still remains in the Pacific Northwest, or as I call it, the Fertile Crescent of down jackets. @crescentdownworks was started by Anne Michelson, who originally developed Eddie Bauer’s down testing laboratory in the late 1960s, and is still family owned and operated with Anne’s daughter Annie at the helm. It’s a dream come true to work with them. There is an island off the coast of Washington, named Whidbey. Small and covered in forest, this spec on the map harbors some of the PNW's most magnificent wildlife while battling the weather of the Puget Sound. It is one of the wonders of the world. Whidbey Wonder is a lightweight, quick grab, down jacket in Blue Goose, a Blue exterior and toasted Almond lining. This coat helps protect you in the cold despite its lightweight appearance. We recommend sizing up for a fit that allows layering underneath. But if you prefer it to fit close to the body, like a sweater, stick to your normal size. Full sizing below.
