The Pilgrim is a special release from Whipper Snapper Distillery created in support of Pillars for Pilgrims, a veteran-led Australian charity standing beside current and former SASR personnel, ADF veterans, Coalition Special Operations Forces personnel, their families and the families of the fallen. Founded and led by SASR veterans and their families, Pillars for Pilgrims was created to fill the gaps that conventional support systems can sometimes leave behind. Their approach is direct and practical: Providing emergency financial relief when help is needed immediately. Creating experiences that reconnect veterans with purpose and community. Supporting families through the challenges that can continue long after service ends. Their philosophy is simple: No bureaucracy. No delays. Just support where it is needed most. The name Pillars for Pilgrims represents two sides of that mission. The Pillars are the people who stand beside one another and hold the line. The Pilgrims are those navigating the journey beyond the uniform — moving from a life built around structure, mission and brotherhood into a new chapter where identity, connection and purpose often need to be rebuilt.
