Pisgah Banjos - 12" Custom Fretless Nylgut

We've spec'd out this 12" Custom from Pisgah Banjo Co. to combine that lauded, vintage sound with modern banjo maker. Immediately you'll notice the fretless Persimmon fingerboard on a Cherry neck, delivering a warm plunk and the ability to slide into notes you simply can't achieve on a fretted banjo. Additionally, it's spec'd out with a Cherry rim, Persimmon tone ring and traditional dowel stick construction, further evoking an old-time sound reminiscent of vintage banjos. While we love the sound of natural skin head banjos with gut strings, they're quite temperamental making modern materials like Nylgut strings and a Fiberskyn head a wonderful replacement while still staying consistent to that sound. A slotted headstock and aged brass hardware complete the look for an old-time powerhouse that will surely stand out.
