Provenance Original to c.1915, this Edwardian cluster ring is set with an amethyst of exceptional colour and quality. A deep and velvety royal purple that is both rare and highly sought after. Oval-cut and set within a rub-over setting finished with millegrain edge detail. Surrounded by a cluster of old-cut diamonds with their characteristic sparkle and old-world charm. The diamonds are also rub-over set with millegrain edge detailing. The gallery is intricately pierced with very finely worked chenier details and decorative fluting below. As is typical of Edwardian era rings, it has a very low profile, meaning its extremely comfortable and practical to wear! Shoulders that are lightly raised, elegantly tapering to a solid D-shape shank.
