Originally known as the Quad-City Drag Strip, this venue is located just north of the Quad Cities metropolitan area along the scenic Mississippi River in Illinois. Built in 1955 and opened for racing in 1956, Cordova Dragway stands as one of the very first purpose-built drag strips in the entire country. It is most famously celebrated as the home of the prestigious World Series of Drag Racing, which is the oldest continuous drag racing event on the planet.
