Backbone Bilum Clutch by Delilah

Our Limited-Edition Craft Series brings together the weavers’ most loved patterns and palettes, thoughtfully handcrafted in small editions. Each design is a unique work of art, created in a numbered series by collectives of 10 to 15 weavers. This collaboration has helped us connect to an additional 100 women living near Goroka in Papua New Guinea. Working in this way provides meaningful and sustainable income to support the women and their communities. This Bilum design is the Backbone of the pig. It is shared after being cooked with people of High Status. This Bilum is handwoven from acrylic and wool yarn as well as upcycled knitwear using traditional weaving techniques. This purse is lined and features a frame closure and internal pocket.
