Antique French Rococo Jardinière with Mirrored Plateau, circa 1900

An impressive antique French table centrepiece consisting of an ornate jardinière and a large matching mirrored plateau. Dating from around 1900, the set is marked “Déposé 434”, indicating a registered French design. The richly decorated silver-toned metal features scrolling handles, floral motifs, acanthus leaves and elegant Rococo Revival ornamentation. The jardinière retains its removable metal liner, while the original mirrored plateau beautifully reflects the elaborate design. The set displays an authentic aged patina, surface wear and oxidation consistent with its age. These traces contribute to its decorative character and historical appearance. A striking centrepiece for a dining table, console or château-inspired interior.
