Gibson Les Paul Special | Translucent Amber | USA | 2001

A nice early 2000’s Gibson Les Paul Special. This flat topped, maple capped beauty has a stunning figured maple cap under translucent amber nitro. This guitar is in very good original condition with some minor scuffs and scratches here and there and some light buckle rash. This stripped back Les Paul features a set of Gibson humbuckers, with an underwound neck measuring 7.6k ohms giving a bright, clear tone and a beefy 13.2k resistance in the bridge pickup. The pickup selector switch tip has a crack in the plastic from rocking just a little too hard. The rosewood fretboard medium jumbo nickel frets which are in great shape with little wear, the neck is a comfortable modern C profile with wide 1 11/16 (43mm) nut width. Structurally the guitar is super solid. The neck is straight, and this guitar has great sustain that good Les Pauls are renowned for.
