The FL5 Civic Type R comes standard with an electronically controlled suspension, but its stock ride height is too high for for an aggressive stance. The HKS Hipermax Touring springs allows you to lower the ride height just enough to achieve a stylish appearance while retaining the stock electronically controlled suspension. After repeated testing, HKS determined that by not drastically increasing the spring rate from the stock setting and intentionally making full use of the stock bump stops, HKS could maintain ride comfort while minimizing significant changes in vehicle posture. The front suspension features pillow-type upper mounts, delivering a sporty ride. Additionally, the camber adjustment function expands your options for tire and wheel sizes. The front suspension offers three height settings, while the rear features screw-type height adjustment. The front uses a ride height adjustment method that combines two spacers, rather than a standard height adjuster. Ride Height During Testing: 19 mm Lower Than Stock Place the body between the two spacers to install it. When raising the ride height: 13 mm lower than stock Install the two spacers between the body and the upper mount. When lowered: 25 mm lower than stock Attach only one spacer to the top of the body.
