Rooted & Released — The Birds & Sky Project
Sunday, June 28 10-12am or Sunday, June 28 1:30- 3:30pm Three birds. One golden horizon. A sky that holds everything — and then lets it go. This workshop is for the part of you that needs to breathe. In this two-hour encaustic session, you'll go deeper than the basics — exploring how to build atmospheric depth, layer wax to create mood and mystery, and embed imagery directly into your piece so it becomes part of the painting rather than sitting on top of it. The result is a small square panel with a soul all its own: moody, luminous, and completely alive. Encaustic has a way of doing that. Of making something feel like it was meant to look that way. No experience required — just show up, and let the wax lead. What you'll learn: - Layering for atmospheric depth and mood - Embedding imagery into wax - Colour blending and tonal work - Fusing and finishing techniques The details: - Location: lovisART Studio, 56 Mill St., Almonte, Ontario - Duration: 2 hours - Class size: Intimate class of 6 — spots fill fast - Everything included: All materials provided - Opening Season Introductory Pricing: $65 + tax Only 6 seats per session.
