Stauning Smoked R.Y.E. | Porter Beer Cask is a limited edition expression where our smoked R.Y.E. whisky meets rich porter beer casks from renowned Danish craft brewery To Øl. Crafted from 100% floor-malted, locally grown, rye and barley, and double distilled in small direct-fired copper pot stills. Firstly matured in heavy-char virgin American oak before finishing in porter beer casks that adds deep malty notes to this smoked Danish whisky with layers of roasted richness and a creamy mouthfeel that lingers. Expect notes of vanilla, campfire smoke, toasted rye bread, beeswax, and roasted malt. On the palate, black coffee, ripe cherry, orange peel, chocolate, and golden tobacco arises, which is balanced by the spicy edge of the malty grains and a touch of peat and heather smoke.
